In addition to being surrounded by family and friends, what I love most, is the mass spread of traditional fare you only eat once a year (stuffing in July doesn’t sound good to you?!). To keep it fun, we do try to sneak in at least one new dish for the crowd.

So, as it turns out: I’m not super woman after all.

It’s been a month since my last blog update, and the lack of posts have been nagging at my subconscious.

But I’m not the type to post random stuff for the sake of it. I work from inspiration so that I can pass it on to you. However, sometimes, ‘other things’ take over and it can be tricky to find a balance. I’ve been caught up in a whirlwind of life stuff, work, wrangling kids, and sadly still grieving the passing of someone very close to my heart.

In addition, I’ve been working on an exciting new project (more details soon!) that has pretty much consumed my thoughts and creativity.

But for now, I’ve come up for air.

The following is a dramatized rant and should be classified as such, not a complaint.

Ahem-

Just when I thought I’d conquered the last zucchini, they sent me more. And potatoes. I could build a small retaining wall out of potatoes. I was forced to relocate my seasonal squash- butternut, acorn, delicata- to the front doorstep. They serve as autumnal decorations alongside my dying mums (thank you rain) because I am officially out of space. As I mentioned, this is not a complaint. It’s more a playful appreciation to my farm share for their generous weekly abundance of food. I’ve put together a petite menu showcasing my creative battle; 5 vegetarian recipes. To my local farmers- thank you. You’ve outdone yourself this year.
